Congratulations to all the Warriors SC teams who had participated in the Petoskey Autumn Blast in Petoskey, MI last weekend!  Here’s a recap of some of our success stories:

2002 Girls: The 2002 Girls took first place in the event, posting a perfect 4-0 record.  The team scored 21 goals while allowing 0.

2010 Girls Red: The 2010 Girls Red team took first place in the event, also posting a perfect 4-0 record.  The team scored an incredible 39 goals and surrendered just 3.  This is their second Petoskey championship of 2019 as they also took first at the Petoskey Fresh Coast Classic in June.

2008 Girls: The 2008 Girls finished second at the event.  They faced some extremely difficult competition and had the extra hurdle of a semifinal game before the championship game, but they still managed to post a 4-1 record at the event.

2007 Girls: The 2007 Girls were unfortunate not to advance from their group despite going undefeated and giving up zero goals at the event.  They finished group play with a 2-0-1 record, but missed out on advancing to the finals based on goal difference.  That’s a tough way to be eliminated from an event, but they placed 3rd overall and played some of their best soccer yet.

2003 Girls: The 2003 Girls had a thrilling 2-1 comeback victory on Saturday night, sending them into the semifinals on Sunday morning.  After 2 Extra Time periods, the game ended in a 1-1 draw, and the team eventually fell in the 7th round of a penalty shootout.  Very tough ending, but the team nearly broke through to the finals of the event.
